If my employer is paying me with a cheque and put some cash in my envelope every week I am worried if it is legal
If my employer pay me with a cheque and some cash is it OK
First what type of worker are you ? Are you a W2 employee, or a 1099 worker
They can pay all cash if they want , as long as the income is reported.o
My question , what type of job, is cash from tips that are split ? Or commission of some type ?
When you get your statement each week, of how mujch money is withheld for taxes, for social security, does it match totals
First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion I've moved your post to its own thread. I see you also started your own thread (though in the wrong forum) so I merged them.
As long as you get what you are entitled to, your employer can split the way you are paid.
As for what is legal, that depends on where you are located since laws vary by area. It also matters what type of job and whether you are under a union contract.
