    Itchy skin
A few years ago I started experiencing itchy skin in various places of my body. I saw an allergist who did a scratch test of over 100 allergens and I came up negative for all of them. He recommended that I get on a daily otc allergy pill. Although I didn't like this advice, I've been taking it when necessary. Well, now I'm pregnant and there isn't conclusive evidence about whether these otc allergy pills are safe for the baby. What can I do? I'm itchy and miserable.

SAFE, per babycenter.com and many other sites:
    Allergy relief:
Chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine (Chlor-Trimeton allergy tablets)
Loratadine, an antihistamine (Alavert, Claritin, Tavist ND, Triaminic Allerchews)
Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine (Banophen, Benadryl, Diphenhist, Genahist)

Please tell us where you itch, if you have pets, if anything at all changed in your life when you started itching.
    - Don't over wash yourself, use unscented mild soap, and rinse well.
    - Use unscented lotion for sensitive skin.
    - Wear loose natural fiber clothing.
    - Get plenty of 'air' around you.
