Cat with a kitten... Are there more?
I just found a cat near my work that has been hanging around for a while. Today I noticed there was a tiny kitten with her. They were in or around the shop all day and I saw her nurse the little one, but I never saw any others. Is that any indication that there aren't others or should I just assume there are more? I took the two because I was worried about just leaving them there, but now I'm worried that I took her from her other babies. Ah! She is very skinny and has a gimpy leg to further illuminate my concerns. Thanks for any help.

Sadly there's really no way to assure you that there weren't other kittens. If the one that was with her was old enough to follow her around, than any others she had should be able to do the same. So the fact that there was only one with her, would lead me to believe that the others probably didn't survive, especially because she's so thin, and obviously a stray.

If she's been at the shop for a while now, you may want to look around the shop, see if you can find any other kittens. If she's been hanging around there, she most likely gave birth in the shop, or close by.

Good luck with your new charges. :)
