OK ,well I was letting my daughter crawl around on the floor and I seen her put hair in her mouth so as normally I do I get the bulb syrenge and a cup of water and I rinse out her mouth well by the second time I already squirted water in her mouth I look down and in the glass I see tiny maggots I do not know if they were in the bulb from not being cleaned or if flys laid eggs in the cup of water and I'm panicing I asked a close friend and she said my 8month olds tiny tummys acid would desolve them if she did swallow any.

There are clumps of hair on the floor where you let your 8 month old crawl around. She grabs hair off the floor and sticks it in her mouth. You wash her mouth with a syringe and water. Seems it would be easier and more sanitary to clean the floor.

Anyway, if I understand the question as I read it... your concern is if the maggots will grow in her stomach. No, they won't.

As a side... you may want to be more careful with these things and clean a little better.

First I have a dog and I vacum daily . And I clean her bulb out with hot water and salt after every use I don't know if my husband may used it and did not clean it. But any way my concern is if she may have swallowed any larvae what will happen? Will it desolve?

It's a bulb syrenge I Suck up the water and spray a little in her mouth then use it again to suck it out it work great I don't do it all the time just when ever she does stuff like that

Not if they will grow and don't they have different type of maggots I'm not sure what these were they looked like maggots they were tiny little white thin larvae

Evaporate? If they evaporate, they will be gone. Odinn answered your question. The larvae will not hurt her. Her stomach juices are very strong.

You do realize your daughter is probably picking up and eating other stuff that you don't catch. Babies' and toddlers' best sense of touch is their lips and tongues, so that's why everything goes into their mouths. Maybe consider putting her in a playpen or limiting where she can crawl.

She will pick up and eat anything she finds as she crawls around. My kids crawled freely too, but when I wanted them to be safe, if I was busy doing something, they played in a playpen for a while.

Yes, crawling is good for her, but only when she's supervised, which she obviously isn't, otherwise she wouldn't have a chance to put hair in her mouth from the floor. I have dogs too, two of them in fact, and I never have dog hair on my floor. Before you say that my dogs don't shed, one is a beagle, the other a border collie, and both of them shed a lot. I also have 4 rabbits that shed, especially this time of year. It really doesn't sound like you're cleaning regularly.

Flies love stagnant water. If you're rinsing her bulb out after every use, but not drying it, it's the perfect place for flies to lay their eggs. But no, they won't survive in her stomach, she'll be fine. Next time I would rinse the bulb, let it dry out, and then seal it. I'd also rinse it again with hot water before you use it.

I always watch her good I was down thereon the floor with her and I seen her put her hand in her mouth it had hairs on it I never said a handful and I rake the floor then vacuum and you can't say there isn't even a little bit of hair on your carpet

Stacy, I understand that you felt picked on by members answers. But based on your posts, they were valid answers. Your responses, explaining things were proper responses. However, creating a second account to answer you and support you, is a) not allowed on this site and b) a very questionable thing to do. It creates the impression of poor self esteem and makes one think that maybe you are feeling guilty about how you care for your child. Personally I think it's a cry for help and I think you may want to see a counselor to deal with your issues.
