    Health & pregnancy
Hello, my name is Bre. I'm a 20 year old female & I have a few questions regarding pregnancy. Today, I am 10 days late for my menstrual. I took a at home pregnancy test on Saturday morning, the result came up negative. I Google all of the symptoms of pregnancy & most of them are how I've been feeling. I even got some advice from my older sister who had 2 children & is 5 months pregnant with her third child. She told me that it sounds like I'm pregnant. She told me to wait a week & take another pregnancy test. Need advice please! Thank you!

My advice is to listen to your sister. No one can diagnose pregnancy over the Internet, unfortunately. You need tests for that!

Feelings or even "signs" mean almost nothing, they all vary from women to women, some have almost none of them, others seem to have all.

But home pregnancy tests do not work this early, your sister is right, wait another week and then test

Do you think it would be best if I just went to the hospital to get a blood test done?

I did but everyone keeps telling me to go get a blood test, even my sister said to when I spoke with her earlier.

Yes, go get one done... seems that is all you really want to hear anyway.

Same sister? " She told me to wait a week & take another pregnancy test." Different advice?

At first she told me to wait a week to take another test, then when I spoke with her today, she told me to get a blood test done instead of waiting because they are more accurate than a pee test.

Sounds like your sister just wants you to stop asking about it.

I'd follow her first advice to you. Wait another week, then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait for your next period, if you miss it, test again or get a blood test done.

If you want to get a blood test now, go ahead, but even blood tests aren't 100% accurate, and you may get a false negative because of how early you're testing. But it's up to you.
