Ask Me Help Desk - Please help? I think I'm pregnant!

Hi,
I'm 24 years old and my fiancé and I are trying to conceive our first baby. We have been trying since last may.
My last period was On June 1st lasting about 5 days. On Wednesday, June 19th I had some pink spotting. My period is due this week, which makes me really think that I am pregnant as implantation bleeding usually occurs a few days to a week before expected period. Im having cramps as though my period is going to come, but I have yet to get it. My breasts are not sore, but my nipples are a little sensitive to the touch. I am EXTREMELY nauseous and have been since the day I had my spotting as well as diarrhea.
What is everyone's thoughts on this?
Could I FINALLY be pregnant?
Does this sound like implantation bleeding??

You have to wait until you are two weeks late before you can test for pregnancy if you want accurate results.

And incidentally sore breasts aren't a pregnancy symptom... its a monthly hormone swing symptom. Most of the women I have known get sore breasts the week before their period.

Diarrhea is a symptom you ate something that your system doesn't like... again its not a pregnancy symptom either.

The first symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. All other symptoms are also premenstrual symptoms.

You will have to wait until you miss your period by 2 weeks prior to testing using first morning urine.

May 2012 or 2013? It often takes a year or more to conceive. It took me three years to get pregnant. The more you stress about it, the less likely it becomes. If you don't want to be pregnant, it seems like you get pregnant the next time you have sex. Mother Nature is not always a woman's friend.

What I don't understand is that every other site I read is all telling me that every single symptom I am having sounds like pregnancy related. I've even taken quizzes and tests and all say that the percentage of pregnancy is very high.

Ive never had spotting, I've never had nausea this bad before or for this long and my cramps come and go which again never happens. These are not premenstrual signs for me at all. Ive never had this before.

Yo need to stop going to that site... because 95% of what they claim are pregnancy symptoms guys get on a regular basis too. And we all know in the history of the human race... no man has ever been pregnant.

Its not a specific site... its all different sites and everything I'm experiencing my mom experienced when she was pregnant with me so... ya

And like said earlier... there is no better way to prove it than what I said... and incidentally... J_9 above who posted is a Registered nurse in Obstetrics. She deals with pregnant women for a living.

Yes, I deal with pregnant women. I also don't believe in implantation bleeding.

Treatment for this is prompt surgical removal of the embryo and repair or removal of the damaged uterine tube.

It is important to know that pregnancy is different for EVERY woman and EVERY pregnancy. No 2 women or no 2 pregnancies will be exactly alike.

IMPLANTATION BLEEDING STUDY- According to a study done by the University of North Carolina, done in 2003 “Little is known about the occurrence and patterns of vaginal bleeding during the earliest stages of pregnancy. We explore this in a prospective study of early pregnancy.”

A total of 221 women were studied and they kept a daily diary along with providing urine samples while trying to become pregnant. Out of these 221 women 151 became clinically pregnant. Clinically pregnant means that the pregnancy lasted 6 or more weeks past their last monthly period. A total of 14 women reported reported at least one day of bleeding during the first 8 weeks. Out of these 14 women, 12 women delivered babies.

According to this study, the University found no supportive information that implantation causes bleeding. The conclusion to the study is that early bleeding in clinical pregnancies is NOT to be mistaken for LMP (last monthly period).

What I don't understand is the fact that a few woman I know had light pinkish bleeding a week before expected period and found out days after they were pregnant. My moms best friend had spotting a week before too and that was her first sign of being pregnant. And why do doctors say that its an early pregnancy sign then?

Not all doctors believe in this.

Imagine, if you will, something smaller than a pencil dot implanting into a large organ. Something that small is not going to cause noticeable bleeding. Now, the spotting may be hormonal in nature, but it is not caused strictly by the fertilized egg implanting in the uterus.
