Low suction from filter on my ac unit
The pipe to the outside unit keeps freezing and there is low suction from the filter in the house any advice to what might be wrong?

How do you know there is low suction? What are your pressures on the high and low side... also what are the ambient temp outside and the humidity level... and what refrigerant does your system have in it.

I presume by "low suction" you mean reduced air flow at the filter. The problem could be either low refrigerant, dirty evaporator coil, dirty fan, bad fan motor not running as fast as it should, or any number of issues causing insuffient air flow. You need to shut the unit off for several hours to allow it to thaw.

And if its icing up on your evaporator coil inside your house... you either have a worn out compressor or low refrigerant. Neither one are a do-it-yourself.
