    Why does a car overheat
My car is overheating I have no leaks and my oil is not discolored my car does shake while I drive it and I just recently replaced the radiator. I have to fill my water every time I want to go somewhere.

I would say bad head gasket. Sucks in water through the cylinder and blows it out the exhaust. It shakes because it is trying to burn and compress water-unsuccessfully I might add. Did you just guess on the radiator?

No I have been looking all over the web for answers and they keep mentioning a radiator mine happened to crack the day after I bought it so I had to replace it.

Probably due to overheating. Do a compression check. All cylinders should be basically the same-120-140 PSI or so. If any 1 cylinder is very low, you have found the problem. Could also be a cracked head or cracked block into a cylinder-hopefully not!! What car is it?

It is a 92 toyota camry.. how do you do a compression check? Is there a tool to rent?

Aluminum head may have warped and blown the head gasket, when it overheated. Compression test of each cylinder is a must.

So even if my engine oil is not discolored it could still be the head gasket? I probably sound like dumb dumb but I know nothing about cars as things go wrong I learn but for the most part I'm lost..

It could be leaking from the water jacket into the cylinder or from a cracked head into the cylinder. Oil doesn't enter into it.

I would expect you will need an engine. The car is 21 years old. Shouldn't be too hard to find an engine but not sure it is worth fixing.
