My ultrasound scan at 24 weeks shows placenta grade I maturity, low-lying 1.3 cm away from internal OS. Is it normal? Any precautions to take to further deteriorating placenta to grade 2 or 3 in my last trimester of pregnancy?

Grade I maturity of the placenta is quite normal for your stage of pregnancy. The low lying placenta may resolve during the pregnancy, but at the same time it might not. If not, you may have to have a cesarean section.

There are no precautions to take as this is quite normal in every pregnancy. Not all doctors, or countries, even grade placentas now as it is worrisome for the patient, as you know, and is really of no significance as the placenta is going to age with increased gestational age.
