Being stopped from having sex at 16
    >Threads Merged to keep all information on this subject in one place<

Ok so me and my g.f have been together for 2 whole years, and have very very strong feelings towards each other. By the way I'm a guy and I'm 16. So anyway my g.f and I talked about sex, and how long we've came till now. We're not being pressured into sex by anyone or anything and feel we are truly ready. But just one problem my parents won't let me have sex even with PROTECTION, and I'm pissed off. Because they really don't understand how long of a way we've came. (my g.f is 16 also) PLEASE NO STUPID ANSWERS. ALSO DON'T SAY "WAIT TILL MARRIAGE". Your help is appreciated ;)

I am going to ask you one question, and please take some time to think before you respond.

Are you ready to be a father?

    Listen to your parents.
If I were you, I would read articles about teens that do this sort of stuff. You can learn from their painful experiences a lesson that you don't have to go through yourself.
Some teens keep making the same mistakes, and regret doing the same things. Some boys get the girl pregnant, abort the baby, and regret blowing off that little candle for the rest of their lives. And that is how history keeps repeating itself these days.

You say you are ready for sex but are you ready to be a father if she gets pregnant? It happens every day. We used protection, we were careful, we had sex and now he/she won't talk to me... Listen to your parents. They know a bit more than you.

    Condoms
Hi I'm a 16 year old male and my girlfriend is 15. The other day we were thinking about having sex, and how long we've came. Been together for 2 years and we both agreed on it. But the problem is I need to buy condoms. Will they ask for my ID, or my age by the way I live in Texas. Also what should I if they refuse to sell me the condoms sue them? Because I can my dad is a lawyer. Please no YOUR TO YOUNG ANSWERS, your help is greatly appreciated : )

You are aware that condoms even if used correctly and are fresh.. have up to an 18% failure rate? Odds are it will be higher for you Meaning there is that much of a likelihood she will get pregnant anyway.

Incidentally... and I refer to the site rules... you can't dictate what kind of answers anyone can make... just so that's out of the way up front.

How do you plan to hire and pay for a lawyer to sue anyone... they don't work for free. And I doubt at 16 you can afford the $140 and up per hour many of them charge. If you would even be able to sign a contract... which at 16 you can't.

And that's cheap compared to the cost of having a kid... much less the cost of raising it... which by the way... you would be paying 1/2 of every paycheck you ever get until it is 18 or 21 (if they get you for College too). You don't get a choice in it.

That goes with the territory... want to play.. you might have to pay. Those are the rules we men have to live by. That's the responsibility of being old enough. Welcome to the adult world.

The legal age of consent in Texas is 17. That means that according to the law, you're not legally old enough to have sex. So how would you sue them if they refused to sell you condoms?

Just have to address this part of your question. Once you post your question on this site, it's open to anyone that's a member here, and you cannot dictate who answers, or what they post. The posts do have to follow site rules, but not your rules. This thread stopped being yours the minute you hit post, it now belongs to the site.

From your first question posted on AMHD, I think your father would be more likely to punish you and thank the merchant for not indulging in his minor son's belief that he is more mature than he actually is.

How old is your girlfriend? 15 or 16?

Your posts do not go away.

You can be upset, but it won't change the fact that we will not give advice that goes against a parent's rules.

You are going to have your dad, the lawyer, sue the pharmacy for not selling you, a minor, condoms... while your parents (your father being one of them I assume) will not let you have condoms... or have sex. How, exactly, will that work out for you?

Is there something wrong with you? You're reasoning like an 8 year old... not someone that's mature enough to have sex.

You are in Texas and have to wait another year or so and if you have come so far already you will have to wait a bit longer because your parents said so.

Wonder what her parents have said. Probably the same thing, and both your parents and hers know the whole range of feeling young people like yourself have regarding those intense feeling and hormones. They also know the pitfalls if you and her make a mistake, and condoms are hardly 100% o the chance of a mistake I always there, at anytime, first time or the last time.

EVERYBODY is always ready for sex. NOBODY is ready for the consequences among teen agers.

Hey! I have an idea! A novel idea actually. Why don't you ask her Dad to buy the condoms for you!?

16 going on 12. Really really immature (or the other thing I said). I look forward to the next generation leading our country.

I think he needs to know when she finds herself pregnant, not if... (since they don't understand life is going to be not having their way the rest of their life, and being glad the few times they can)... and that.he doesn't have any say at all in if she has it or not...

He also doesn't have any say in the fact he will be paying to support it with a HUGE chunk of every paycheck until the child is at least 18... and maybe even 21 and college too.

And that's if its not twins or Triplets.
