The past few weeks my belly button has been hurting well yesterday it started hurting really bad and it was turning red well this morning I work up and it red and around it is red and I'm having trouble pushing it back in and I'm in a lot of pain. What should I do?

I have umbilical cord hernia and its been hurting fro the past couple of weeks well yesterday it started turn a pinkish color and this morning I woke up ib a lot of pain and it being red abd red on the outside as well. I use to be able to oush it back in but not I'm having trouble and its extremely painful.

Do you think you should ask your Physician if you are in pain and pregnant?

As I said on my vanished answer, you need to call your Physician. You are in pain. You are pregnant. That sums it up for me.

Can you go to the clinic where the doctor works, walk in and tell them what's going on?

This is worrisome. You're in pain, there's obviously something going on, and your doctor isn't calling you back?

I'd be going to his office and demanding to be seen, or I'd go to the hospital.

Sadly that's really the only advice we can offer online. We do have a labor and delivery nurse on this site, but she works long hours, and has a family, and can't be on the site 24/7. I'm fairly confident that she could tell you what may be going on, but in the end I'm also sure that she'd advise you to see your doctor.

Both my mother and my husband are at work until 9pm tonight and its 5:40pm right now so I have to wait until they get off cause I have other children. Then I'll be going to the ER

Is there any way for you to call them, tell them what's going on, ask them to come home early?

I really don't know much about what you're describing, I only know that if it were me, I'd be at the hospital already. I'd rather you be safe than sorry. I'm not trying to scare you, because I really don't know if you have a reason to be worried, I can only tell you what I would do in your situation.

Is there a neighbor that can watch the kids so you can go?

Maybe you could try calling the doctor again, stress that it's urgent.

It really sounds like this is what you're dealing with, and I can't stress enough the "seek immediate medical attention" part of this post.

First of all, you don't have an umbilical cord hernia since you no longer have an umbilical cord. You may, however, have an umbilical hernia.

If that's the case, you have had this since birth, but it has not been detected until now. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this until baby is born unless it becomes incarcerated, then emergency surgery will be done.

Yes, go to the ER. That would be a very wise decision on your part.
