Can I use 20 Vol Dev and Baking Soda to Lighten a Dark Dye Job?
Ok... I've been highlighting my hair for ages. Then I get bored and go dark then back again. Well this time I did a medium reddish brown. The color is pretty but I don't like how dark it is. I am really wanting to get as close as possible to my natural dark dirty blonde so I can quit the cycle of coloring my hair.

Someone said I could put a mix of 20 vol developer and baking soda on my hair and it will lighten it... then I could re-highlight. Is this true and for how long would I leave it on for?

Thanks to anyone who can help!!

Peroxide works well, don't know about the other stuff you talked about. Try a commercial lightener for best results or consult a beautician
