All the videos I have watch said don't get trims often is that true? Please help?

I go every 4 weeks. Most of my friends go every 6.

I go every 4, but it's an individual choice. If you look shaggy in 4, go 4. If you look shaggy in 6, go every 6.

Unless you have a problem with split ends, the frequency of getting your hair trimmed depends entirely on the style you're trying to maintain, so it's difficult to answer :)
