    Supplemental Security Income
Hello Experts, I got married in February 2013. My wife lives in india, and I am US Citizen. I've been receiving SSI since last 2 years, and now I will be working full time in September 2013. In October, my SSI and all the government aid will stop, and my Annual income will be 20000. Now, my question is that in which month should I sponsor my wife?

Your full time job has an annual salary of only $20000? Is it minimum wage?

No, in Ohio the minimum wage is around $6.5. I will be making $10.50 hourly. Is this income enough to sponcer my wife? Should I file the application in September, October, or should I wait more?

It will take you much longer to wait... you need to have tax return 3 years back, with gross adjusted income of at least $20K for family of two (you and your wife).

They don't need to have tax returns for 3 years. If they weren't required to file taxes then they just include an explanation that they weren't required to file.

He already said that he will have a job with a salary of $20K. Then he can file at that time.
