Can R410 air handler work properly with a R22 condenser in a heat pump
I have a split system heat pump (Carrier). Due to freon leakage, contractor through home warranty replaced indoor fan coil with a new one (Payne) that works with R410. I was told that they installed an expansion valve too. The outdoor unit is still R 22. He charged with R22 at the time of installation. The air I'm getting now is not cool. Is this because of the incompatibility of the indoor and outdoor unit? What options do I have? Can I simply replace the condenser to a R410 system, or I have to replace the indoor air handler as well?

Incompatible systems, valving and piping different. 410 compressor has much more head pressure. Have the condenser changed and recharge with 410. Since the A-Coil fits, no need to change air handler.
