What is the maximum number of Cisco ip phones that can be daisy chained together?

Im redesigning my companies network design and noticed that I had six phones daisy chained together and I it meant that I could save data ports instead of using a switch

I'd call your rep for Cisco... look up the technical support number in the back of one of the manuals.
