Every time my husband sits on the couch he has red bits on him. Also I babysit a 2 year and she takes her naps on the couch. She is covered in red bites! She is alsi scratching them and they irratate her very bad. I try putting cream on her but it doesn't help. What can I do?

Get rid of the couch?

What do the child's parents say about the bites?

Maybe fleas?

How many others use the couch? If several people use it and those are the only two affected I would suspect an allergy to the fabric treatment. If those two are the only ones to use that couch, try sitting on it yourself to see if you get bitten.

If you get bitten, try catching a sample for identification. It could be fleas, It could be mites, it could be lots of things.

Without some idea of what you're dealing with, any type of treatment besides the basic vacuuming would be ill advised.
