My ex boyfriend signed my daughters birth certificate but he's not the father.
I went on state assistance to get help cause he also was not involved in my daughters life. The state went after him for child support. Now he's taking me to court. I would like to know what's going to happen.

It's fraud to put a name on a because when you know the person isn't the father. What were you thinking?

Most probably DNA will be ordered. If he is not the father you will be asked to ID the father. Someone will have to pay back ANY benefits paid on behalf of the child by the State/County. That person probably will be you.

When you start with a fraudulent birth certificate the court is not amused.

First, any question on law needs to include your general local as laws vary by area.

Second, what is he taking you to court for?

Since he signed the certificate, he acknowledged that he might be the father. So he is just as guilty of fraud as you. If he knew he could not have been the father he doesn't have much of a case.

We can't tell you what's is going to happen without knowing what he is taking you to court over.
