I had my coil/plenum replaced yesterday and my freon refilled. The brand is Lennox. My house is about 2200 sf and today it got to 98 degree with dew point if 65%. I cannot get my house under 80 degrees. At this temp it runs all day long. This is the way my system acted BEFORE I replaced the coil and freon.

Did I get ripped off??

Did the previous system function correctly at any given point in the past?

What refrigerant did they use on this... the same as it was before? Some of the newer replacements are less efficient and need a corresponding larger system to provide the same capacity. I'm wondering if they properly evacuated the system to get a proper charge in it... and if they got a proper charge in it... or if the compressor might be on its way out. Unless you have a leak in what was replaced... and that's WHY it was replaced... the real problem might have been at the other end.
