I am 14 and my friend invited me to go to the mall with her and her other friends. We're going to go on Friday after school. I'm a Freshman. I asked my mom but she started joking about it and said "over my dead body". We were planning to go to the mall, Buffalo Wild Wings, and the movies. I want to go because I don't get invited to parties or hang-outs. I'm the silent type, but really fun to hang with. I'm that type of girl. Lol. AND... I need to bring a lot of money for the places. Urggg... So, how do I convince her to let me go? How do I let her give me a lot of money? BTW, she is black and not a people person and weird.. so none of that stuff. LOL.

Bottom line, this is up to mom. Maybe she can't spare the cash, maybe she'd let you go if you had your own money to spend. Maybe she's not comfortable with a child your age going out on the town. Does she know these friends you'd be going with?

Talk to mom, ask her why she said no. If it's the money, find a way to earn it yourself. If she says no because she feels you're too young, that's the way it is. You're a child, what mom says, goes.

To be honest you can't do much, Your mum is your mum and you can't change her decisions. Some mums are the easily persuaded type but it's best not to drive them up the wall - even if they say yes or they're more inclined to say no the next time because they think you're immature
