Pregnant or effects of stopping birth control?
I was on birth control for 7 years and stopped taking it in January and had regular periods right from the start. At the end of May my boyfriend came home and we had intercourse. We used a condom for the entire act, but some pre-ejaculate did touch the outside of my body.

Now my period is late by a week. I'm looking for opinions... is pregnancy more likely or is this some delayed effect from stopping birth control 6 months ago?

Haven't taken a pregnancy test yet because I'm from a small town and don't want people I know to see me buying one. As soon as I'm able to, I will.

    Thanks

There's no way to know without a HPT or blood test. Your period could be delayed for any number of reasons, and you seem to know that. Condoms are not 100% effective - and I'm sure you know that. A lot of people who got pregnant despite condoms post on AMHD.

Go to the next town when your period is 10 days late, buy a HPT and use it according to directions.

There is little else to say.
