    70% Humidity in Office
I work in an office with about 50 people. The air conditioning system was replaced last year and there have been problems with the indoor humidity ever since.

The temperature outside today is 70º and the humidity is 90%. Inside, the temperature is 74º and the humidity is 70%.

(For reference, last week it was 74º with 40% humidity **outside** and 72º with 38% humidity **inside**. So essentially, our air conditioning system is simply not removing the moisture in the air).

The service people keep coming and telling the "powers that be" that there is nothing wrong with the system, but that can't be true, can it?

Thermostats control temperature, not humidity. Unless the system is equipped specifically for dehumidification, dehumidification is a side benefit of cooling. In some large systems they actually run the heat & cooling at the same time for the sole purpose of removing humidity without over cooling. It is likely the system in your office space is not so equipped.
