Crunchy
Poo bear.
Mr. Right now.
Prince.
Foo foo cuddly poops.
Teen crush.
So many options. It's really not our call. If you want some silly nickname for your boyfriend, you'll have to come up with it on your own. This is totally up to you. We don't know him, you do. If you can't even decide on a cutesy nickname for him, why are you dating him?
Why do you think we would know a nickname to call your boyfriend? We don't know him.
I'm not arguing with you. I don't argue with kids. Any question posted in the dating forum automatically comes to me. End of story.
Nicknames usually just happen. They come about because looks, behavior, actions, reactions, etc. They can be an inside joke or shared moment between two (or more) people. They aren't something that you make a list and choose one.
As you grow to know him and interact with him, you might find yourself calling him something different than his name. It may not be 'cute' to anyone but the two of you. But it will be a part of your bonding and the development of your relationship. Let it happen naturally.
Don't try to make yourself call him something that doesn't really fit just because you think it is what couples do and seems 'cute'. It generally isn't and can be very annoying.
After reading your other thread, I have two things to add:
1. Don't let pet names add more stress to your life and relationships. Let them happen if they do, but it isn't something to worry about.
2. Happy belated Birthday. Please show your growing maturity by remembering your manners even if you don't like what someone has said.
I think "uh duuuuuhhh///" would be a good nickname for him.
Now I'm working on one for you. I am considering a tribal name, "Girl who cannot spell" or "Girl who major attitude who insults adults."
My experience is that men who call women nicknames - and I realize you aren't in that category - at the beginning of a relationship do so because they can't remember her name.
(Same problem with this OP - why is a teen all over the adult boards, particularly with teen "the world owes me" attitude?", insulting well respected members?)
You have jumped into the deep end of the pool here already, by responding to adult questions about pregnancy and relationships. Your answers (from the few I looked at) were all extremely naïve and showed lack of the knowledge required, plus you didn't really read any of the questions carefully enough to provide advice that was applicable.
So you get what you sow. Promise to stay on the teen board and we will treat you with respect.
I agree with you, Joy (as always) but respect is earned. It's not a given - but, yes, it would be easier to tolerate OP's attitude on a teen board - and the attitude would, at least, be somewhat expected.
Yes, respect does need to be earned.
I think on AMHD we want to treat anyone with respect right from the beginning, as we would with any new person we meet out in the world, in person. It's that initial 'benefit of the doubt' respect of a first encounter, the politeness and good manners all humans deserve when we know nothing about each other. Then the respect that is earned comes with time, whether seconds or much longer, years even.
(This is a whole book in itself - the word respect has lost a lot of meaning, as people talk of being dissed and of demanding respect, even in personal relationships, where it's absolutely something that is earned, not commanded.)
When you post on this site, any member of this site has the right to answer your question. We tend to disapprove of silly questions. They waste our time, they take up space, and they tick us off.
We don't know your boyfriend, so why would we know a nickname for him? You know him and you can't even figure out a nickname for him.
You should have posted this in the teen section. There are many other bored teens on this site that would likely love to answer a mundane question like yours. But the dating section is not the place to post this sort of drivel.
Go play with the other kids in the teen section. If you post in the adult section, expect adults to either correct your posts, or respond in the way we responded in this preposterous post.
