I purchased the Whirlpool Duet Washer.

I utilized the Soak cycle, and left the clothes in the washer over night prior to re-starting and running through the normal cycle the next morning.

The white clothes were all damaged with circles of rust stains? This is the first time in the first month of purchase I had left a load in for more than a few hours.

Will this happen every time?

Yikes! I'd be on the phone right now to Whirlpool, and I would be upset!

You have a place on drum with no paint where it's rusting. This would not normally happen when you run a wash straight through, but when it soaks like that it will have time to rust.
