Ask Me Help Desk - Children seeing spirits?

I have a 19 year old daughter that has been having experiences seeing spirits. It started more so after she had my 1 year old granddaughter and she is expecting again. At first she was seeing a lady and a young boy, but with no activity. She noticed that the lady would stay in my granddaughter's room and would transform from an older lady to a small child. The woman would sit on the opposite couch and stare at my daughter with an angry look. My daughter tried to ignore her. One night my daughter yelled for me and I ran down the stairs to find her shaking and crying. The woman was in the corner of my wall up in the air and was crouched down like an animal about to pounce. The young boy would watch my daughter do dishes and mess with the door and the shower curtain when she was taking a shower. I spoke to a
'sensitive" and was told that the woman was my great grandmother and had been with me ever since I was a newborn. She is now watching over my granddaughter. I'm not sure if I believe it, but it helps with the scariness of it all. My daughter has seen "spirits" everywhere in public and they never seemed to notice her. She went to the store and was seeing them again and now they stare at her like they know she can see them. This frightens her very much. My uncle recently passed away and she has never met him, only seen the one and only picture I have of him in his Navy uniform. I'ts put away in a book, so it's never out to see. She called me as I was on vacation and told me that uncle Frank is here in his uniform wondering the house checking on all of us. She wasn't afraid of him, just confused. She had an "entity" come visit her last night and what she described as "her watching a movie". It was taking place at my aunts house and the "entity" was sitting in the chair with my aunt. My male cousin, who is a major alcoholic was yelling at her and she was crying. It told her as long as it was there with her he would not turn violent towards her. She was also told that someone was stealing from my aunt and that she was going to pass away in the near future. This "entity" never shown itself to her. My daughter was driving and slammed on her breaks, as she seen a young boy run into the street. There was no one there, that really bothered her. My 1 year old granddaughter will stand in the hall and yell at the corner as if she see's something. I'm not sure if they are able to have that ability at that age. My 9 year old son woke me up last night and he was in the corner of his room crying and shaking saying something is watching him and following him. I have seen "shadow's" my entire life, but with no contact. I'm not sure how to help them not be afraid or know if there is something bad around. I don't feel any negativity in my home, I just don't know where to turn. If anyone has experienced this or knows who I may be able to talk to I would appreciate any help. Thank you again in reading this, I feel helpless that I can't do anything for my children.

Is there a history of any certain religious belief in the family... or even the occult?
It sounds as if this problem has been in your family for some time.
Have you taken any steps to try and get rid of these things?

I have talked to someone called a Wiccan. I was told that my mom as well as myself had something "bad" put on us. He said that someone wished harm on us and whoever it was knows or is into evil things. We are Catholic and believe in spirits, angels and spirit guides. I have always felt and once in a while seen shadows. I have never felt anything negative. My mom has had negative experiences, but just now has tried to contact someone to help her. This person told me that my mother and myself were the intended targets of this harm. I was told that since I'm such a strong headed person it attached to my daughter. I have always had a "protector" with me ever since I was born, and I was told that if the protector or spirit guide was not here it could be bad. I was told to burn white candles and use sage throughout my house until he could figure out what type of negativity was put on us and possibly by whom. I'm trying anything I can to help my children feel safe, this wiccan has not even asked for anything except information on my situation. I was also told my daughter or myself could be portholes for spirits? I'm not sure if that is even a real thing. I'm getting to the point where I'm so angry that I am ready to blow and start insisting this thing needs to get out and make my point very clear. I'm not sure if that would make it worse. I have read up on that and things differ, some say yes, as long as you are clear in your desires they will go. Some say it could make it much worse. I'm lost, I had every cross blessed and have one in every room in my home. This "entity" is poking my younger son as he tries to sleep, I'm not about to let something harm or disturb my family. I will do anything and everything I need to to put a stop to this. I am not afraid of this thing and I think I have made that clear, as I have had no negative encounter's myself. If you know anything or anyone that I can pursue on this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for yoour time in responding to me.

Chosen, there is quite a bit to respond to, and just from what you wrote I have no problem believing that a spirit entity has made itself quite comfortable in your family's lives.

You claim to be Catholic, however most of what you mention here is complete opposite of any Christian belief. In no way am I denying the power and existence of spirits. Demons exist, angels exist... however, there is a right and wrong way to deal with that world. At this point I would recommend you not try to remove anything on your own. Whether you are clear in your intentions or not, these kinds of spirits do not have to listen to you... and quite frankly have no problem laughing off a "blessed cross". You can wallpaper your house with pages from the Bible and decorate everyroom with a crucifix... these are merely empty icons if you don't believe in the power behind them.

It's not a cross that has authority over such spirits... it's the work Christ did ON the cross that does the work.

Until you understand what your situation really is, it most likely isn't not going to resolve. Hang in there and I'd love to walk you through what is going on... but you're most likely going to need to bring in help. Some spirits are weak, some are strong... the best way to remove something like this is to bring out the big guns right away. Are you comfortable contacting a church about this? You said you will do anything to put a stop to this...

Also I recommend that you try to run a video recorder in your sons room at night for a few nights and see what is going on. Sometimes children don't even realize they do something because they are between 2 worlds. That of being awake and asleep.

I am willing to talk to the church, I'm just not sure how they will react. My husband is not understanding of this and gets very mad when I mention it. I just don't understand why it happening here? We believe in God and all he is. Like I said I don't feel anything evil here, but I don't want it to get to that point. Do you believe there are spirit guides that can protect us from such things? I'm going to get the white candles and sage in the morning and do the cleansing, I hope it helps a little. Does a Wiccan have knowledge of these types of things? Since I have asked for help or information, I have been overwhelmed with depression and all I want to do is sleep. I'm not that kind of person. Can I be letting my guard down and letting little bits in? I will do ANYTHING to keep my children and grandchildren safe. What have I done to make it feel it's OK to stay here? I will take your advice and not do anything by myself. I would be grateful for any help or guidance you can give me. I will contact the church in the morning and see if they would be willing to come in and help. If not, I will try anything. I will set a camera up, but I will have to do it without my son knowing. He would freak out, and I may if I see something on the video. I have strong faith and I am very protective of my family, I will get through this with help from knowledgeable and helpful people like yourself. Why would you fear a bad reaction from the church? If a church doesn't believe in spirits, you wouldn't want to ask for help from them anyway! Also, keep in mind that evil isn't something you "feel". Spiritually speaking, most evil is a deceptive type and quite undetectable to those ignorant of Satan's devices. Just because something seems good doesn't make it so.
