My son is currently in the county jail. Does he have to appear at the restitution hearing?

Has he been convicted of the crime for which restitution is to be ordered?

Is this hearing for the purpose of determining how much restitution will be due?

Well of course he has to be there. They can't do it without him. Why wouldn't he want to be there?
