I am on the depo shot and my boyfriend always uses a condom so we double up all the time. On Friday the condom broke and I had gotten cream pied. I am supposed to get my shot again in the beginning of July. I have heard that the shot starts to wear off the month before you are supposed to get it again. I know the effectiveness is 99.7% but how effective is it the month before you have to get it again? I also have a few pee tests... but when am I supposed to take those? And how many do I take? Also what if I am pregnant? Will the pregnancy have a lot of compications with the child?

I don't know what "will the pregnancy have a lot of complications with the child" means. You would be pregnant with the child - ?

I am not reading a reliable source that states that the protection "wears off" before the next shot is due. If so, I would think the shot would be scheduled more frequently.
