Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which enclosed pump systems are good to use to help drain a wet bar sink in basement.

Breaking up concrete to tie into bathroom plumbing is not an option, so I was going to install an ejector pump below the sink and pump the water into my existing 4" main line, and also tie into existing 2" vent. I am looking for which products are best ones to use (quality, last a while, not too loud, etc.) I can not use the vent-less type systems, inspector said it needs to be tied into vent.

Funny enough, I only recommend and install the pump you have chosen... ;)

I'm pretty sure everyone on the plumbing page will feel the same way as they all recommend the zoeller pump for sump pumps and sewage ejectors, so it's a pretty safe bet there will be a unanimous agreement on this!

I know zoeller is a good brand, but there is one zoeller pump that is not very good, but I can not remember which model it was. I believe it was one of the lowest end models (size, HP, etc.) We bought a new house in 09, we move in, and the ejector pump was not working, it eventually was replaced 3 times by the contractor with the same pump, within a 1-1.5 year period. After the third time, we eventually did not even tell the contractor, we bought our own pump, different model, and its been fine for 2 or 3 years now. My wife works for a company that sells pumps, and this model was known to have a defective float switch at the time we kept getting them from the contractor. Her company wouldn't even sell that pump on there website, because they knew it had problems.
