How far? I'd say if you are taking it more than 1/2 a mile, you will need to go to the DMV and get the current requirements for doing so, and that you should have specs with you, especially length, width, and height. A hauler will probably know the laws, if you are hiring one to move it.
As for questions about the land you can move it to - that comes under the zoning of the town or county you want to move it to.
