Went to the doctor today was diagnosed with the croupe cough. Was put on predisone. Want to know what we can give for cough. Thank you

Nothing - what did the Physician recommend? Do NOT select an over the counter medication and give it to a child in addition to prescription drugs.

My younger brother spent his early years suffering from the croup. This was back in the 1950s, and the solution then was humidity (so a humidifier was always on at night in his closed bedroom). This especially helped his cough and his breathing. Has your doctor suggested something like this?

I agree, why was this not a question for the doctor ? Who took him ?
But many times for this, there is nothing, but will agree humidifer has helped greatly
