So I have been dating this guy for a while now and he makes me so happy. I can't see myself without him but he is really controlling and gets jealous easily. I am not allowed to talk to or text other guys and its hard because a lot of my really close friends are guys. When I do he gets all mad at me and ignores me until I apologize. He always randomly texts me saying that he is scared of losing me. He is VERY emotional. He also likes to control my life with my friends and what I wear. I am not allowed to wear belly shirts of short shorts anymore in the summer... Like OK. My friend had her birthday party last weekend it was a girls sleepover she only had 3 guys there for like 2 hours and he got so mad at me. I just don't understand and I feel like it isn't normal for him to be that controlling.

No, it's not normal for someone to treat you like this, it's called abuse. Right now it's just emotional abuse but will escalate to physical abuse if you don't put an end to it now.

Break up with this loser, get him out of your life totally and completely. You will never be happy with him. I'm pretty sure you aren't as happy right now as you think you are.

Why is it that every time I see someone being controlled in a relationship, they always start by saying how happy and in love they are with the idiot that's controlling them? Is it that he has you so twisted that you believe this is love?

A guy that controls who you are friends with and what you can do and when, is a borderline abuser... it's just a fine line until he takes that next step and starts to get worse. As J 9 pointed out, it really is already abuse in some form... but you couldn't be happier. Obviously, that is not true or you wouldn't be here asking about this.

Break up with him... he will only hold you back and get worse. Believe it or not, if you don't settle, there is a guy out there that will treat you right.

Its not weird at all, it's a BIG RED FLAG that you are being groomed by an emotional abuser who has deep issues that you are ignoring.

The even bigger more disturbing BIG RED FLAG is you are happily going along with it.
