Need schematic.

Best I can tell you is to try JDParts. No schematic available short of buying the service manual. The machine has two wiring harnesses determined by serial; number. Look at:
John Deere - Parts Catalog
And unlike most other manufacturers, putting S1742 will give you the model. Suggest you choose the sectional Index as it seems the easiest to use.
