Just bought a new battery; my tail lights stay on after I have turned the bike off?

The only way I can get the tail lights to turn off is to disconnect the battery? And the only thing I have done to start with is replaced battery? So, if I leave the battery hooked up, I kill the battery again...

Can you Verify it is the Tail, and Not the Stop light?
Before this happened, did the Tail light come on when turning on the Ignition switch, Or when you turn the headlights on?
