    4 light F32T8 light fixture
When I turned on my light nothing happened. My husband replaced all four tubes, still nothing. He replaced the ballast, and still nothing works. It's not the switch because the same switch controls a light over the sink, and that still works. Any ideas?

Is the power getting to the ballast?

Yes. My husband is using a wire tester on the wires, and it's hot

Did he inspect the wiring that runs from the ballast to the recepticles for the tubes? Can he feel or hear the ballast working? Is this a newer fixture or an older one?

The ballast is buzzing. The fixture is about 4 years old. The voltage tester registers a pulse of power to the tubes about every 2 seconds.

Do you know if this unit (its not likely as it's a newer model) has a starter on it? In most cases it might look like a silver barrel ?

Im running out of ideas if everything is wired correctly and matching parts were replaced then it should work so long as the bulbs are making contact in the sockets you should have light.

We volunteer here so one of the other experts may be along tonight or tomorrow to answer you further.

How was the test for voltage done? With a meter or a no contact voltage sensor (some models look like a pen)?

    Is the fixture properly grounded?
