    Can't view Java Applets!
    Hey Everybody,

I have Juno (5.0) installed on my PC (Windows 98SE), and I also use Internet Explorer 6.0. I did go to http://www.java.com to make sure everything is up-to-date. I have JVM 1.4.2 installed. When I view web sites with java applets on them, they work fine. The problem is when I try view them with Juno's browser. The java applets don't work. They just have that rectangle with small shapes in the top-left corner. If someone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

    Java
    Hi,
I am sorry, but I'm not familiar with Juno.
However, I also use Win98SE, cause I like it.
The JavaSun stuff doesn't really work well with Win98/98SE, most of the time.
I got rid of it; now I have no problems with any little X's anywhere.
I use the Java VM, Microsoft's "JIT compiler for virtual machine", instead of the JRE 1_2 whatever.
    Best wishes,
    fredg

    Howdy:

Juno uses the Netscape browser.. make sure you have the Java plugin for Netscape installed for it to work with Juno!

Here is the newest Java version along with install instructions..

    http://www.java.com/en/download/help/5000010300.xml

Once installed, start Juno and make sure Java is enabled in the Netscape. I don't use Netscape, so I can't point you to the exact area although the Java install may do that for you!
