    help in these physics questions?
    1. A train starting from rest and moving with a uniform acceleration attains a speed of 36km/h in 10 minutes. Find its acceleration.
2.A bus running at a speed of 18 km/h in 2.5 seconds by applying brakes. Calculate the retardation produced.
    3. A motorcycle moving with a speed of 5 m/s is subjected to an acceleration of 0.2 m/s2 for 5 min, calculate the speed acquired and the distance travelled in this time.
please explain me this elaborately with answers and formulas used... as physics is too complicated! =(

AMHD doesn't do homework. The suggestion is that you prepare an answer using the formula you have been taught, the one that's in your textbook, and someone comes along and helps you.

If this is too complicated perhaps another course of study is a good idea. This is a relatively simple formula. Math is not my strong point, but this one I know!

Each one of these can be solved by applying the definition of acceleration, which you need to memorize:

Acceleration = change in velocity divided by time: .

You can use this equation directly to solve the first two questions. For the third you can rearrange it:

    and remember that

Please show us your attempt at working these problems and we'll help if you get stuck.
