    Squeaks during spin cycle
Frigidaire Crown Heavy Duty Stack Washer and Dryer Model # FLEB43RGS3

Squeaks during spin cycle until drum is pulled forward. Is this an alignment problem - worn spring or bolt assembly? Maybe a spring that is used to dampen the vibrations when the load is out of balance?

My guess is the rear bearing is starting to go. Not easy to fix on a stack unit since they are so hard to move. Some models have a captive bearing that cannot be replaced on it's own, you replace the entire rear assembly. If the unit is very old, I would consider replacing rather than repair.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to take so long to get back to you on this. We had a machine that was about ten yeas old. The transmission bearing was going out and the dryer was taking to long to dry clothes - - about an hour longer than should be needed so a new unit was a must. A scrub board and clothes line would have worked, but we are lazy. HA!
Thanks again for your help in this matter.
