    No water
I had low water pressure this morning and now there is no water. I believe it is the points because we have had this problem before and it was the points. My question is... where do I locate the points on the well pump because I was told that I could use sand paper or a nail file to file the points and that may work to get water back on in my house. I have never personally had to do anything like this and I need help please!

You are looking for the switch. It's a small grey box with electrical wires coming out. With the cover off, this is what you will see. Use an emory board to make two strokes each. POWER OFF.

Make sure the breaker is on. If the points are closed, then use an ampmeter to be sure you have current going to the pump.

If you have a filter or softener on the system, try bypassing it.
