Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Remote trouble shoot
Hampton bay Altura fans will not work with remote. Have by passed and the fan will work but have no control over functions as all is handled by the remote.

If I apply power to receiver input what type reading should I get from out puts? Battery replaced in transmitter, codes are the same, have 2 fans so I have swithched the remote systems out from one to the other with same results.

This is new install so remotes have never worked

Bare with me this early afternoon. My brain is stuck on the crappy Giant's football season last sesaon.

I'm confused by your question. You say the installation is new and that the remotes have never worked, correct?

Does that mean both the fan and the remotes for these fans are "Out of the box" new and they do not work, in which case take them back to your point of sale and get new ones.

Or are you saying that the fans are existing and that you purchased remote kits for the fans but cannot get them to work.

What do you mean when you say you "Bypassed them". Do you mean that you effectively did an electrical work-around, bypassing the remote and going directrly into the fan?
