I am researching how EtG testing works with different variables (like social drinkers vs heavy drinkers EtG testing, how liver function can affect the test, etc... ). I did have one question that I am having a hard time finding answers to... If someone is on Antabuse, can that affect how long ethanol will be in the body and therefore create a positive EtG test? I have been researching patients taking Antabuse as well and I have found some people are affected by hand sanitizers, perfume, aftershave, certain foods with alcohol while taking the medication, a lot of them try to stay away from these items because it does create side effects. Anyway, your research has been a great help for my project. Thanks!
