Outside A/C unit makes a really loud humming noise when it runs. What can be done to remedy this?

Could be loose or broken fan blade, loose or weak contactor, bad fan bearings. Does the blade spin freely? Take the cover off the condensing unit and wiggle the fan. Any motion more than 1/8" or so? Where does the noise emanate from-top, middle or bottom?
