Tap handle won't screw back in
    Hi,
The bathroom hot tap handle came off in my Mum's hand and it only seems to go back into the tap socket so far, so I can't reattach it.
    Any suggestions?

More details please. Brand name. What tap are we talking about> Does the handle have a screw under a pop off cap or a Allen Set Screw? How about a pitcher. Back to you. Tom

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
I managed to get the information (which I think is generic), that to re-screw on a tap handle, it needs to be screwed in by turning it the OPPOSITE direction from the way it would turn to switch it on.
I don't know what a pitcher is, and get confused by the jargon I read on some other posts, but I appreciate you taking time to respond to me and offer help

Oops, was about to edit that and it sent...
Thanks for writing, Tom. I managed to fix it by turning it the opposite direction.
I appreciate everybody being there and especially willing to offer help and advice. (I need it in laywoman's terms).
    What a great resource!

Are you saying the screw has a left hand thread? The only left hand thread in Plumbing that I've run into is the flush lever on a toilet tank. Glad you got fixed up. Thanks for the update. Tom
