If my husband died and the house was in his name, on the warranty deed to get the house in my name is he the grantee or the grantor?
His estate would be the grantor and you would be the grantee.
If you are preparing this deed then I strongly suggest that you have it looked over by an attorney or title agency to make sure it's correct. It's not expensive to have it prepared and/or reviewed by someone else but it can be very, very expensive to correct if you make a mistake doing it on your own.
