My dog is coughing & trying to regergetate like something is caught in his throat. What can I give him to eat or drink so that he can puke it out?

Now, in regards to your dog, you should either take him to a vet clinic OR even, at the least call a vet. When the dog (or even a person) is in a medical crisis, waiting for an answer on a forum like this instead of seeking REA MEDICAL CARE immediately is irresponsible at best.
I hope your dog is OK.

Get him to a vet, please! He may be choking on something, and food won't go past the block.

If you expect an answer in 3 minutes, yes, I don't know "why you joined" with AMHD.
As has been said, we are volunteers.

You would spend your time better by taking your dog to a Vet.
