To understand Hinduism, first you will have to study Indian culture. This word was coined by foreign Invaders. Before invasion whatever philosophy was prevailing in indian subcontinet is called Hinduism. It encompasses both Sanatan Dharma & Jainism
So you are actually asking for ancient Indian philosophy. It says whatever is happening in your life weather good or bad is just because of your karma. You are actually soul. Nobody has created you & nobody can destroy you. Your existence has no beginning & no end. But the form which you attain, will keep changing depending upon you karma. Bad karam will take your soul to one-facultied beings & good karam will take you to final salvation - A state of being omniscient, out of the cycle of birth & death, without sufferings & pleasures but the state of eternal bliss.
So this philosophy actually is eternal, though archaeological evidence has indicated its origin to 3000 because.
