    Rib pain.
So lately in the middle area around my left ribcage have been getting this sharp elbowing pain. I do have a cough right right that seems to be triggering it even more. It gets to the point where I have to hold my chest up to cough or It will hurt too much. Same goes with sneezing. It hurts when I touch that area too. I only went to work 2 days ago and when I got back at night it just started to hurt for some reason.

Maybe you broke a rib. If what I say is true than your broken rib might be poking you from the inside and causing this pain. It can be caused by an infection, lung condition, or anything else.

I highly encourage you to go see a doctor as soon as possible.

    Oops, repeat

If you didn't hurt yourself enough to break a rib, then I would guess hernia.
BUT of course that's just a guess.

    Sounds like costochondritis.
