    What does your pediatrician say?

As a mom who had a son with frequent ear infections, I say no.

Yes, just don't stay under water too long

Why are you answering your own question?

New or old, it still makes no sense that you asked a question, and then answered it.

This isn't Wikipedia, we don't simply post answers to random questions here. It looks suspicious that you asked a question, then answered it yourself.

In other words, if you think you know the answer, don't ask the question.

How many days will it take for what, going to the pediatrician, or the infection?

To answer both scenarios, the pediatrician appointment will depend on where you live, the pediatrician, and when you make the appointment.

The infection will depend on the type of infection, and the treatment given for it.

What I read was that WG asked what the physician said and the OP answered that that the doctor said "yes, just don't stay under water too long." I didn't read it as the OP answered her own question.

Ah! I see, said the blind man. I was always so careful even when I washed my son's hair when he had an ear infection, so I can't imagine having let him swim. Life must be different in 2013.

It depends on what is causing the ear infection and whether the child is on antibiotics.
