I have model number TCP42U2... I think just a basic flat screen. I have a red sometimes green line going vertically in the middle of the screen. Any idea what it is or have any idea how to fix it? The TV is from 2010.

A TC-P42U2 is a 42 inch, 1080p Plasma TV... sounds like someone swiped a magnet across your screen... unless you're willing to replace the screen for big bucks... I'd dump it and get a new LED model.

Have you tried restoring factory default settings?
