    Hi Jason

How far can a toilet be from a VENT connection... is that what you are asking?

If that is what you are asking then the answer will really be dependent on what plumbing code your state uses...

In my area a toilet can be from 6-8 feet maximum from a vent.

In some areas, code will allow up to 10 feet as a maximum.

    Closer is always better...

Under UPC, with 3" waste you can go up to 5' , with 4" waste up to 6"... Check with your local Code. As Mark said, it varies from area to area. Milo

It can be any length you wish as long as it's vented properly but the standard rough in is 12" to the center of the flange. Why do you ask? Just curious. Cheers, Tom
