If I met a US man online for two years now can I go to the USA and marry him?
Two years ago I met a very nice gentleman online. We communicate everyday and get extremely well. If I go to the USA on a visitors' visa to visit him , am I allowed to get married?

Entering the US on a visitor's visa for the sole purpose of marrying is fraud.

Are you getting married to him in the hopes of being allowed to stay in the US? If so, you haven't done your research.

You're entering the US as a tourist, you're not disclosing that you're entering the US with the intent of getting married. I agree with Judy, that's fraud.

If you do this you'll likely never be allowed to live in the US on a permanent basis. There are laws, there are rules, if you wish to do this you have to go about it legally. You won't force a country to accept you simply by marrying one of their citizens, especially when you lie about your reason for visiting in the first place.

You communicate every day - ask him to find out.

Does he think you're coming here on a visitor's visa but you think you're coming here to get married?

Good question. Is this man even aware that he's getting married?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting married on a tourist visa. What is wrong is planning to stay in the U.S. and immigrate on a tourist visa.

This is what I learned while working for Homeland Security: "You might have heard stories about someone who got married in the US while on a tourist visa, didn't return home, and successfully adjusted his or her status to permanent resident. Why were these people allowed to stay? It is possible to adjust status from a tourist visa or visa waiver, but the people in this scenario were able to prove that they came to the US with honest tourist intentions and happened to make a spur-of-the-moment decision to get married. Proving that you entered the US with no preconceived intent to marry and file for adjustment of status can be difficult but not impossible."

Online communication is one thing, reality is another... how can you make sure he is a good man? Many women turned victims of domestic violence as soon as they set foot in US.

The risk is USCIS reject many cases like this since evidence of relationship doesn't support enough... let's say you two should meet in person, at least once, before you enter US.
